A free clock that returns authoritative local + UTC time read straight off a real,
time-synced source — so no machine, and no AI, ever guesses an offset again.
One clock can be wrong and never tell you. FreeDaTime asks several independent
time sources at once and shows every one of them. A source that agrees lights
green. A source that can't be reached lights
red — out loud, where you can see it.

the difference
The failure path is the product.
Most clocks fail silently — they hand you a plausible number and hope. FreeDaTime
refuses to guess. If it doesn't know, it says so.
GreenWitnessed & agreed. Timestamp is grounded — safe to sign, log, or trust.
RedSource unreachable. Shown, never hidden. "No data" is a valid answer; a fabricated number never is.
RefuseUnknown zone or offset. Returns an error, not a guess. No silent UTC fallback, no geo-IP invention.
for the machines
When an AI is lost in time, send it to FreeDaTime.
Language models are notoriously bad at telling the time — they compute offsets in their
heads and get them wrong. FreeDaTime hands back a clean, copy-ready time block an AI can paste to
re-ground itself in the real world. One read. No math. No drift.
the price
Free. Forever.
$0/ always
The core clock is free to use, forever — no license fee, ever.
Open source, attribution only. Grounding shouldn't have a paywall.
